Lego Mania!!!

Happy Birthday Christopher! Christopher loves Legos and so of course he wanted a Lego birthday party. The cake was made from chocolate cake that I cut to scale. The lego knobs are marshmallows that were frosted to match. Let me tell you, that was NOT fun at all. After the cakes were frosted and refrigerated, I stacked them to look like they were connected together.

Christopher had two parties and for the second one I made Lego cupcakes which were much easier. The chocolate cupcakes were frosted green and I found Lego candy at the candy store. I just sprinkled the candy on top and they were finished.

Pinwheel Cake

I made this cake for a charity dessert auction. The theme for the event was "Creating Momentum" and the colors of the event were pink, yellow, and orange.

Football Cake

Here is a cake I made for Caleb's 6th birthday. He loves football and designed this cake himself!

Castle Cake

This castle cake was for a 4 year old princess.

Bridal Shower Cake

This cake was for a bridal shower. This is a four tier cake but each tier is shorter than normal. I wanted to make something grand without creating too much cake. The white flowers on the cake are fondant and the yellow is buttercream.

Wedding Cakes

I have made two wedding cakes. They were completely different from one another. I am still learning new techniques and love to try new things.

The first cake was for a bride who wanted something simple and elegant. She found a picture in a Martha Stewart Wedding magazine and asked if I could make it.

The second cake was for a totally different couple. They loved rock climbing and hiking and the groom actually proposed up on a mountain. Hence, the rock climbing/mountain cake. The bride found the topper at REI and I designed the cake to fit the topper.

Welcome

Many people have been asking me if I have a website and now I can sort of say...YES!!! This is me getting my feet wet with technology. I'm posting some pictures of my cakes so I don't have to walk around all the time with my camera or scrapbook to show off my latest creations. Enjoy!
